This morning, I woke up well-rested—an underrated advantage. Sleep reset my mind, preparing me for a pivotal day. An interview with Make community leader Michaela awaits, and I hope my decision to invite Sayeeda and Saakshi was the right call.

Yet, even as I step into the day, familiar worries linger. My lack of Chinese conversational skills frustrates me as a professional limitation and a personal gap.

Financial uncertainty looms as well. I don’t want to lose my job or cause more stress for Huan and me. And beyond myself, I worry about Axelerant—about preserving its culture, people, and the values that make it meaningful.

I should be pushing harder. We all should.

And yet—gratitude.

I pause. Breathe. Recognize what I have.

Time with Jace and Drusus—brief, precious, and real.

A quiet getaway with Huan—just us, fully present.

The ability to remain calm and reflective, even in uncertainty.

Gratitude isn’t about ignoring challenges. It’s a choice to see the full picture—to acknowledge fear without being consumed.

It doesn’t eliminate struggle, but it reframes it. It fuels clarity, steadiness, and forward momentum.

So, today, I move forward. Rested. Grateful. Determined.

What about you? What’s one thing you’re grateful for today that you might have overlooked yesterday?
