The Beauty in a Simple Morning
My kids are playing, I’m writing, and Huan is preparing for work. A beautiful morning. Even my writing looks nice today. 😊 Soon, Huan and I will share a quiet moment over coffee.
I sit here, fully present, yet a question lingers—how do I be at peace? But maybe peace isn’t something to find. Maybe it’s already here.
When Life Says “Game Over” 🎲
I recently hit a personal high score—over 40 million—on a number slide game. A fun milestone, sure, but what stood out wasn’t the score itself. It was the realization that this game doesn’t have a “you lost” moment. It just ends when no moves are left.
And that feels a lot like life.
We don’t always get to choose when things end. A career shift, a friendship drifting apart, a phase of life we want to hold onto—sometimes, despite our best efforts, they are over. No failure, no second chances. Just done.
The Challenge of Letting Go 🌊
It’s not the ending that’s hard; it’s not being in control of when it happens. That discomfort—the forced transition, the sudden shift—unsettles us most.
But peace isn’t about holding on. It could be about recognizing that each chapter closes in its own time, whether we’re ready or not.
This morning, I realized peace wasn’t something I needed to chase—it was already here, waiting to be noticed. And maybe, even when life says game over, there’s another round waiting to begin.
What’s one moment in your life that ended before you were ready? And how did you make peace with it?
Let’s talk. 💬
